Cayman Airways Limited (CAL) is advising customers travelling to the United States, about a new requirement recently introduced by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Effective from 11:59pm EST on November 3, 2026, all passengers on any airline, must complete a mandatory health attestation form and present it at check-in or before boarding their flight. This requirement will apply to all US-bound passengers on Cayman Airways flights scheduled on or after the morning of November 4, 2026.
Under the new measure, passengers must complete and sign an attestation form confirming that they have not been in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) during the 21 days prior to boarding their flight. The requirement is part of the US Government's public health response to the Ebola outbreak in the DRC.
The completed attestation form may be presented in either paper or digital format. A parent or authorised representative may complete the form on behalf of passengers under 18 years of age or those unable to complete it themselves.
Passengers who fail to provide the required attestation will not be permitted to board their flight.
Those who have been in the DRC within the preceding 21 days are also prohibited from travelling to the United States by air, unless specifically exempted by the US Government.
Cayman Airways encourages all customers travelling to the United States to familiarise themselves with the requirement and complete the necessary documentation ahead of their scheduled departure to help avoid delays during check-in or boarding.
