Travel Alert: Ebola – Entry Restrictions for U.S.-Bound Travelers

To reduce the risk of Ebola importation into the United States, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is temporarily restricting U.S. entry for travelers who were recently in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

• Travelers who have been in the DRC within 21 days of their flight, including U.S. citizens and nationals, will not be allowed to board commercial flights destined for the United States. U.S. citizens and nationals who have been in the DRC should plan to remain outside the DRC for 21 days before entering the United States.
• Travelers who have been in Uganda or South Sudan (and not in the DRC) within 21 days of arrival in the United States must enter the U.S. only through designated airports for enhanced screening.
