CAL sends recovery flight for New York passengers after cancellation

Cayman Airways flight KX793, which was scheduled to depart New York (JFK) for Grand Cayman today October, 13, 2025, at 11:45am, was delayed due to a mechanical issue with the aircraft. The airline’s efforts to send another aircraft to collect the passengers this evening was unsuccessful due to slot constraints at JFK airport, forcing the airline to cancel the flight. Cayman Airways is re-protecting the affected passengers with a recovery flight on Tuesday October 14, 2025 which will depart JFK at 11:45am to arrive on Grand Cayman (GCM) at 2:45pm. Cayman Airways Limited (CAL) is providing support to the affected passengers by way of accommodations, transportation, and meals as needed, with a sincere apology for any inconvenience this cancellation may have caused.
