Inoperable Fire Truck in Little Cayman causes flight cancellations

Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, January 9, 2023: Cayman Airways Limited (CAL) was advised today by the Cayman Islands Fire Service that the fire truck in Little Cayman is currently out of service. Therefore, Cayman Airways Express flights KX4624 and 4424 were unable to operate today and were subsequently cancelled.

While CAL awaits further updates from the Fire Service regarding whether or not flights will be able to operate in and out of Little Cayman tomorrow (Tuesday January 10, 2023), the airline has made tentative contingency plans to shuttle affected passengers safely by boat between Little Cayman and Cayman Brac, where they can also travel on to Grand Cayman.
