Thursday August 19, 2021, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands: Cayman Airways is in the process of resuming operations after the passage of Tropical Storm Grace, and finalizing its flight schedule for Thursday August 19th and Friday August 20th. Due to the impacts of the storm, the Cayman Islands Government has informed Cayman Airways that they will be unable to accommodate inbound passengers scheduled to arrive on Cayman Airways’ repatriation flights on Thursday August 19, 2021. In light of this, and in order to accommodate Cayman Airways’ return to service requirements, reaccommodating today’s inbound flights to tomorrow was determined by Cayman Airways and Travel Cayman as the best operational, and public health, solution. The following are the resulting changes to the airline’s international flights:
Thursday August 19, 2021
KX3102 GCM-MIA Depart 3pm
KX3103 MIA-GCM cancelled; passengers moved to KX3103 on August 20th
KX3600 GCM-KIN cancelled; passengers moved to KX3602 on August 20th
KX3601 KIN-GCM cancelled; passengers moved to KX3603 on August 20th
Friday August 20, 2021
Recovery Flights
KX3103 MIA-GCM Depart 11am Arrive 11:30am
KX3602 GCM-KIN Depart 2pm Arrive 3:05pm
KX3603 KIN-GCM Depart 4:15pm Arrive 5:20pm
Affected passengers are being notified of these necessary changes for repatriation flights. Affected inbound passengers from Miami and Kingston should note that Cayman Airways has received confirmation from the Medical Officer of Health that the Cayman Islands will accept results of a previously taken PCR (providing it was taken within 108 hours of flight time for these recovery flights only), in order to minimize the need for affected passengers to retake the test.
Cayman Airways appreciates the public’s understanding, and apologises for any inconvenience these required changes may cause.
