CAL flight returns to ORIA due to medical emergency onboard

A passenger aboard Cayman Airways’ repatriation flight KX3102, which departed Owen Roberts International Airport (ORIA) at 10:19am this morning destined for Miami, experienced a medical emergency inflight approximately 15 minutes after takeoff. The Captain returned the aircraft to ORIA to ensure that the passenger received the necessary medical attention as quickly as possible. An ambulance met the aircraft to transport the passenger to the hospital, and after the passenger’s baggage was located and removed from the aircraft, the flight departed again around 12 Noon. All public health protocols were adhered to.
