Due to the closure of Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) in Kingston on Monday October 3, 2016, Cayman Airways flights KX620 and KX621 had to be cancelled.

Cancellations for Tuesday, October 4, 2016 due to the proximity of Hurricane Matthew, include the early morning flight KX600 from Grand Cayman to Kingston, and KX601 from Kingston to Grand Cayman. The following flights have been added for later in the day to accommodate affected passengers: KX2604 is scheduled to depart Grand Cayman at 1pm to arrive in Montego Bay at 1:55pm. That flight then departs Montego Bay at 2:35pm to arrive in Kingston at 3:15pm, and then departs Kingston at 3:55pm to arrive on Grand Cayman at 4:55pm.

As Cayman Airways announced on Friday September 30, 2016, change fees are being waived for passengers who had purchased tickets prior to September 30, 2016 but wished to change their flight reservations for travel between Grand Cayman and Jamaica, as well as between Grand Cayman and the Sister Islands. The waiver applies to ticketed reservations for travel up to Tuesday October 4, 2016. Only one waiver of the change fee is allowed. Customers who wish to cancel their reservations and travel at a later date may be given a voucher for the value of the ticket, good for the next 12 months.  Please note that any fare difference will apply and refunds are not allowed on non -refundable tickets.  Changes and cancellations must be completed no later than two hours prior to the existing flight’s scheduled departure time.

Cayman Airways is continuing to monitor the development and path of Hurricane Matthew.  At this time, there are no other changes to the Cayman Airways flight schedule, but customers will be updated on any affected flights as that information becomes available.
